Matthew Woodruff

Sustainability

Matt started flying at the age of 15, soloing for the first time on his 16th birthday and receiving his Private Pilot License at the age of 17. What followed was a lifelong passion for adventure, experiencing different cultures and connecting with people all over the world. After receiving his B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy, Matt went on to fly the T-6 Texan II, the F-15E Strike Eagle and the MC-12 Liberty. He then transitioned to work as a charter pilot attaining type ratings in the King Air 350, the Premier Jet, and the Gulfstream 200. Throughout his career, Matt has accumulated over 5000 total hours with experience flying in Europe, Asia and the Pacific Islands. But after experiencing the destruction and tragedy of California wildfires while volunteering with the Red Cross, Matt realized the importance of combating climate change. He brings this passion and focus to promoting the Tukã dream of creating a long-term sustainable source of quality yerba mate for the North American market and more.
