Lucas Mongelós Gracia

Field Team

Lucas studied Agricultural Engineering at the National University of Asunción, Paraguay. His love for the countryside and natural curiosity about life led Lucas to his choice of study, and to his later specialization in Holistic Management at the Savory Institute. Holistic Management is focused on regenerating grasslands, building soil, increasing biodiversity, and sequestering significant amounts of carbon while also improving social and economic outcomes. Detail oriented and methodical by nature, since 2018 Lucas has been part of a team from the World Wildlife Fund Paraguay that works with sustainable production projects throughout Paraguay, #mate. He is a Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo who believes that the secret to enjoying life is to be patient, constantly learning and adapting in one’s profession, and promoting a healthy and sustainable life through discipline and sports. Lucas believes that yerba mate is a lofty plant with an extraordinary potential for sustainable development that also generates work for the communities.
