Jake Viramontez
Lead Story Teller & Brand Manager
At the age of 16, Jake made his first international documentary in Ivory Coast West Africa. That documentary won him the best documentary in the country at the prestigious Student Television Network film festival and set the stage for the rest of his career. Before heading to film school, he took a hiatus to backpack from Los Angeles to Panama taking nothing but public transportation, creating a YouTube series about his journey that has over two million views. After graduating from The Arts Center with a BFA in Film Production, he went on to develop strategic campaigns with some of the world’s biggest agencies and brands. His campaign for The Times with Accenture Interactive “JFK Unsilenced” won 7 Cannes Lions including a Grand Prix, as well as seven Clio’s. He then spearheaded a six part campaign for Chevrolet in Brazil, “Be A Goalkeeper” that won five Clio’s. His latest original concept was picked up by Sony, called "Create Action” where he is producing, directing, and editing a 10 part series on nonprofit organizations all across the United States. His introduction to yerba mate came while visiting Brazil, and he has since become an avid drinker and evangelist for the beverage.
