Dennis Martin

Banking

Dennis graduated from the Argentine State University as a Public Accountant and Economist. Even before he finished his studies, he embarked on what was to become a 30+ year career with Citibank, where a diversity of positions and experience led to his promotion to CEO of Citibank Peru. Two years later he repatriated and accepted the position of CEO of Citibank Argentina. Thereafter he held regional jobs as Head of Corporate and Investment Bank products both in Asia and South America, positioning him well to ultimately become the head of 76 countries across the globe, reporting to the Chairman of Citibank. In 1999, he left Citibank to partner in the creation of an agribusiness in Argentina and Uruguay, where he and his partner produced wheat, corn and soybeans and also built an industrial center as a value add to their commodities. Eventually selling his interest to his partner, he now farms 22,000 acres for his own account, dedicated to cattle, grains and forestry. An avid yerba mate drinker, he has expanded his interests to now include Tukã and its Katú brand of yerba mate.
